Robin Smith Raises Nearly $43,000 For State House District 26 Campaign

  • Tuesday, July 24, 2018

Robin Smith, the Republican candidate for Tennessee House District 26, Tuesday announced that her campaign has received nearly $42,927 in contributions since being qualified to run as a Republican by the Hamilton County Election Commission on June 22.

“I am honored by Tennesseans across District 26, Hamilton County and the state who have stepped up with their support,” Ms. Smith said. “Facing a condensed election, an opponent with nearly a year head start on our campaign and a frivolous legal effort by Tennessee Democrats to deny District 26 residents our right to vote, more than 85 donors demonstrated their commitment to our effort and their faith in me with generous contributions.”

Ms. Smith announced her candidacy for the District 26 seat on June 20 and has worked to build a broad-based campaign from the ground up. Ms. Smith noted the importance of strong support in reaching as many voters as possible in a short period of time.

“The contributions we have received are vital to spreading our message that we must maintain sound conservative fiscal policies, ensure the benefits of our state’s growth reach all Tennesseans and continue to stand up for policies that support our communities and honor our values. I asked a great deal of my neighbors to get this effort off to a strong start and they have responded. I am grateful for their support and look forward to a vigorous campaign in the fall.”

Early voting continues through Saturday.  For more information about Ms. Smith and her campaign visit www.robinfortn.com
