Martha Green Calhoun, age 79, of Green Road, Summerville, Georgia, passed away Friday evening, August 10, 2018, at her residence.
A native Chattooga County, she was born to the late Gordon Duncan and Ellen Lucille Worsham Green on March 26, 1939. Mrs. Calhoun was a member of New Hope South Baptist Church and a retired school teacher from the Chattooga County School system.
Surviving are her husband, Dave Calhoun; daughters, Karry Calhoun Martinez and Christie Calhoun McCarley; brother, Alan Green; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 15, at 11 a.m. from the New Hope South Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Albercrombie officiating, interment in the New Hope South Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Paul Brison, Tony White, Chuck Petitt, Fred Hardin, John Green, and Michael Green with honorary pallbearer, Marc Green.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
