New Erlanger Primary Care Practice Opens In Soddy Daisy

  • Wednesday, August 22, 2018

Starting Monday, residents of the Soddy Daisy community will have access to two new primary care physicians. The Erlanger Medical Group has added two board-certified family medicine physicians, Drs. Yuri Sawa and Case Tedder, to its growing network of family doctors.

Erlanger Primary Care Soddy Daisy will begin accepting new patients on Monday, Aug. 27 at 9448 Dayton Pike. Medical services at the new office include comprehensive care for acute and chronic illnesses and physical exams to preventative education for patients of all ages, ranging from newborns to geriatrics.

Yuri Sawa, MD, received her medical degree from University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, before completing her family medicine residency in Chattanooga. Her areas of interest are in women’s health, behavioral health, chronic disease management and preventative medicine.

Case Tedder, MD, also graduated from University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, and completed his family medicine residency in Chattanooga. Along with a focus in preventative medicine and chronic disease management, Dr. Tedder also treats diabetes and has an interest in lifestyle medicine.

Both physicians are originally from Tennessee and continue to make Chattanooga their home.

“As the region’s only academic teaching hospital, Erlanger is extremely fortunate to not only train physicians, but to also offer opportunities for them to remain in our area and care for those living in our community,” said Meridith O’Keefe, Erlanger Medical Group chief operating officer.  “Drs. Sawa and Tedder are a great addition to our team of primary care specialists and their new office will provide even greater access to medical care to area residents.”
