Bobbie Evatt, 79, peacefully entered the presence of her Heavenly Father on Friday, August 3, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her husband, former Hamilton County Sheriff H.Q Evatt, her parents, L.B. and Beatrice Gilbert Henry, and brother, Gary Wayne Henry.

Bobbie was a lifelong resident of Hamilton County and was a member of Burke’s United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her two sons, Ricky (April) Anderson and Mike (Rebecca) Evatt, both of Chattanooga; four grandchildren, Erika (David) Hallman, Jordan (Carrie) Evatt, Tyler (Paige) Evatt and Sarah Evatt, and three great-grandchildren, Daniel Hallman, Tate Evatt and Stone Evatt. She is also survived by two brothers, Jerry (Kay) Henry of Dallas, Tx., and Larry (Patsy) Henry of Chattanooga.

Services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 8, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Honorable Judge Clarence Shattuck officiating. A graveside service will be held at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department.

The family praises God for Bobbie’s life, a life well-lived and well-loved. The family also expresses their heartfelt appreciation to her faithful friends, Bettye Clark and Chris Newberry, as they came alongside her during the most difficult times of her life. In addition, the family extends appreciation to the wonderful staffs at The Bridge of Ooltewah, The Lantern of Chattanooga, and Life Care of Ooltewah for the care and support extended to Bobbie.
