Morning Pointe Lantern Residents Participate In Art Therapy

  • Friday, August 3, 2018
The residents of The Lantern memory care community at Morning Pointe of Hixson love flexing their creative muscles with art therapy, officials said. Scratch art and pencil art are some of the residents’ favorite projects on which to work. Frequently, the residents’ families and Morning Pointe associates will even participate.

"Each of our memory care communities include spaces dedicated to creating art. Residents can initiate a project on their own, join in on instructive sessions or watch local artists at work.
Art is a recognized form of therapy, no matter a person’s level or ability. Often, these projects are on display in the memory care community," officials said.
