Josheaura R. Broome, 48, formerly of Chattanooga, made her transition to her heavenly father after a long battle with her health on Friday, September 7, 2018, in Houston, Texas. 

 

Jo was a 1988 graduate from Brainerd High School.  She moved to Houston and attended the University of Houston.  She was a dedicated employee for Kelsey Seybold for the past 16 years. 

 

Jo was preceded in death by her brother, Phelitus Broome; grandmother, Evelyn Rivon; grandfather, Robert Porter; and loving aunts, Thelma Porter, Patricia Broome, and Gary Ann Broome. 

 

Survivors include her husband, Ray Anthony Murphy; children, Tiara and Reevan; stepchildren, Yasmine, Ray, and Quanalyn; grandchildren Aralyn, Amer; Ravianna, Ranaya, Reagan and Rayvon; mother, Edna (Michael) Bradley; father, Wayne Broome; stepmom, Patricia Edwards; sisters, Therrodesha Byars, Tanyell (Donavan) Smith, and LaShanda (Lawrence) Castle; brothers, Wayne (Lashaundria) Autry, Vaniven Fuller, and John (Amber) Fuller; nephew, William; nieces, Kayla and Anaya; a host of other nieces; nephews; family and friends. 

 

Visitation is on Saturday, Sept. 15, from 9-11 a.m. at Grace Cathedral Church, 9410 Mesa Road, Houston, with the funeral to follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Paradise North Cemetery. 

 

Arrangements are by Carl Barnes Funeral Home in Houston. Announcement is by Taylor Funeral Home of Chattanooga, Inc.
