Dona Marie Lindsey, 86, of Hixson, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, after a brief illness.

She grew up in Erie, Pa., and is survived by her husband of 64 years, Merle J. Lindsey. Dona retired from TVA and was a faithful parishioner of St. Jude’s Catholic Church and the mother of three.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Boetger; mother, Ann Martin Boetger, and twin brother, Donald Boetger.

Survivors include her sister, Mary Ann Weschler; brother, Gary Boetger; three children, John (Carolyn) Lindsey, Jennifer (Vernon) Harrison and Gail (Michael) McDade; as well as by four grandchildren, Tyler, Lindsey, Alex and Monica; four great grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services and eulogy offered by Father Charlie Burton will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25, in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 25, from 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Home.
