May, Joyce "Elaine" Lea (Ringgold)

Joyce “Elaine” Lea May, 61, of Ringgold, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 21, 2018 at her home. She was a life-long resident of the North Georgia area and was a member at the East Brainerd Church of Christ. Elaine was a bus driver for the Catoosa County School System. She loved gardening and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Jerry May; parents, R.A. Lea and Edith Overby Lea; sons, Dewayne (Heather) May, Matthew (Lindsey) May and Daniel May; brothers, Edward Lea, Wayne Lea and Lebron Lea; sisters, Deborah Webb and Angie Horton; grandchildren, Brannon May, Tyler May, Greyson May, Wyatt May, McKenzie Gossett and Drew Gossett; along with great-granddaughter, Everly May, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home chapel, with Raleigh Wooten officiating. Entombment will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesday at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.
