The successful applicants for the computerized drawing for the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency’s 2019-20 Wildlife Management Area waterfowl hunts and the statewide sandhill crane hunting seasons are now available. The results can be viewed at QuotaHunt.GoOutdoorsTennessee.com.
Successful applicants with an email address associated with their TWRA license account will be emailed their confirmation notice. For successful applicants without an email address, TWRA will mail this information.
Hunters who are successful in drawing a blind/pool site on Bogota, Thorny Cypress, and Gooch Unit E must, two weeks prior to their hunt date, return to TWRA a “Notice of Intent” (NOI) which states they do intend to hunt their assigned blind/pool.
Hunters that are successful in drawing a blind site on Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park and Natural Area, Candies Creek, Rogers Creek, Yellow Creek, Johnson Bottoms, and White Oak (Lebanon Pond Area) must by Nov.
1, 2019, return to TWRA a “NOI which states they do intend to hunt their assigned blind pool.
In order to participate in the awarded waterfowl hunt, applicants must first submit an electronic NOI by the designated deadline to the specific area. Applicants will have to navigate to QuotaHunt.GoOutdoorsTennessee.com and log into their customer profile. They will see a "Complete Form" button next to the Waterfowl Blind Reservation Quota Hunt Award. If participants do not confirm their hunt by the deadline date, their reservation will be cancelled.
After submitting the NOI, participants are reminded to print their awarded Quota Hunt Permit documents. This is the permit needed to hunt. For information on obtaining detailed maps, GPS coordinates, and rules and regulations for the hunt, visit http://tn.gov/twra/article/waterfowl-hunting.
For the statewide sandhill crane hunt, 783 applicants had the opportunity to be drawn and receive two tags. Persons who drew a tag at the sandhill crane event in August were not permitted to be drawn for a computerized sandhill crane tag. Hunters awarded sandhill crane permits are required to submit a post-season survey that will be available beginning Dec. 7, 2019 through Feb. 10, 2020 (closes at 11:59 p.m. CST).
