Randy Fairbanks Has The Best Qualities Of A Politician - And Response

  • Thursday, October 3, 2019

Having been involved in the campaigns of several local politicians over the past 10 years or so, I pretty much got to know many of them on a first name basis, from both sides of the aisle.  I got to see "the good, the bad, and unfortunately the ugly" side of politics.

I've seen the back door deals from "smoke filled rooms", politicians that say one thing and then do another, and yes even how, for some, the power and influence gained once elected, slowly turns them into people you don't recognize anymore.  I guess that is why I divorced myself from politics some time ago, and from those that can give the word "politician" such a negative meaning.

However, on the brighter side, I feel compelled just this once to speak out in support of one man in particular, Randy Fairbanks.  He has declared himself a candidate for Assessor Of Property for Hamilton County.  This unpretentious and honorable man represents everything that one would want in a politician; honor, integrity, compassion for others, and a man of his word.  Randy has always remained above the dark side of politics, only staying focused on working to fulfill his oath of office in a way that every voter can be proud of.

Believe me, like I said, I don't make endorsements often, maybe almost never.  In this case, however, I proudly encourage you to support and vote for this "one in a million" man, Randy Fairbanks for Assessor of Property.

Mr. Reesor,

I am right there with you with my vote for Randy Fairbanks to be our next Hamilton County Assessor of Property.

Actions of elected officials speak volumes to me.  Mr. Fairbanks has voted against some of the most horrific proposals originating from special interest demanding his vote.

When the Hamilton County WWTA proposed to place a sewage treatment plant in a residential area,  and the financial implications to the home owners would have been devastating.

Commission Fairbanks voted, no.

When County Mayor Coppinger and UnifiEd proposed to fleece business and property owners with a $0.34 per $100 assessed property tax increase,

Commission Fairbanks voted, no.

The list goes on and on of Randy Fairbank’s proven record of actually representing we the people, and not special interest. We have a lot of elected people, but how many actually represent citizens over special interest?

I also believe it is important to hire or elect the most credentialed and qualified.   I want to see qualifications for the job.

Randy Fairbanks gets my vote, too.
