Carissa Gay
Carisa "CC" Gay, 40, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, in Chattanooga.
She was born March 20, 1979, in Chattanooga. She was a student at Orange Grove Center and loved greeting everyone with a smile.
She was preceded in death by devoted grandmother and caregiver, Peggy Mathis.
She is survived by mother, Joyce Gay; brother, Derrick Douglas, Sr.; sister Eureka Gay; uncles, Willie Gay, James (Sherrill) Robinson, Jr., Joseph Robinson; aunt, Deborah Gay; devoted aunt and caregiver, Melony Robinson; adopted aunt, Shirley (Jeffrey) Sexton; devoted cousins and caregivers, Quinesha Suttles, MelKayla Coates, MyKendra Coates; devoted niece and caregiver, Jayla Douglas and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A special “thank you” to Orange Grove Center and the staff for your loving care and support for many years.
Public viewing will begin at noon until 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the funeral home.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, at Lakewood Memory Gardens Chapel – East.
