Retired From Combustion Engineering After 40 Years

Betty K. Hood, almost 100, of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2019.

Betty was a Christian and was of the Baptist faith. She retired from Combustion Engineering with 40 years of service.  Betty loved to read.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Grace Hood and a sister, Mickey Robertson.

Betty is survived by a niece, Donna (Bill) Swaney; nephews, Gary (Nancy) Robertson, Chris Swaney and Matthew Robertson; cousins, Carolyn (Larry) Moore and Larry (Diane) Clonts; dear friend, Betty Rodgers and the best neighbors in the world.

Betty has requested there be no visitation and only a graveside service. The family will meet at the North Chapel around 10:30 a.m. on Monday.

Graveside services for Betty will follow at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 2, at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with her friend Jean Wheeler officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trenton United Methodist Church Fish Project, P. O. Box 6, Trenton, Ga. 30752. This charity provides children meals for the weekends. 

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
