Chattanooga firefighters were dispatched to a house fire at 3106 Noa Street on Monday at 2 p.m.

A Chattanooga police officer was the first on the scene and reported thick, black smoke was coming from the small, one-story house. Unsure as to whether or not the house was occupied, Battalion Chief Chris Warren called for a second alarm response to bring in additional fire personnel and equipment.

Fortunately, extra fire companies were not needed.
The house was unoccupied, and the firefighters were able to get the fire under control in roughly 10 minutes. No injuries were reported.

Wilder Street had to be shut down for emergency vehicles from N. Chamberlain to Campbell Street.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
