Barbara Ruth Young Brown, 88, of Rossville, went home to be with The Lord Saturday, February 16, 2019. She was born in Chattanooga to the late Dock Harvey and Jeannie Mary Elizabeth Henry Brown. She was a lifelong resident of Walker County and a member of Wallaceville Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Rossville High School. She enjoyed quilting, flowers and bird watching.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ross “Robin” Allen Brown; and siblings, Harvey Young, Ed Young, Jim Young, Mackie Tarvin and Alline Holdiness.
She is survived by her children, Pamella (Skip) Poole and David (Kim) Brown, all of Chickamauga; grandchildren, Shawn (Leann) Brown, of Chickamauga and Erin Mae Brown, of Knoxville; great-grandchild, Kaylee Brown; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service and burial will be private.
