2 Arrested After Police Chase Into Georgia

  • Thursday, April 18, 2019

Two men were arrested Thursday afternoon after a police chase that started in Rossville and ended across state lines in Georgia.

Police said they had put out a bulletin for a vehicle that was connected to several armed robberies on Wednesday.

An officer spotted the car and after attempting a traffic stop the chase began. It began on Rossville Boulevard and then continued on to Chickamauga Avenue.

The suspect eventually crashed into a traffic light near Highway 27. The driver remained in the car and gave himself up to police, but the passenger fled into the woods in Catoosa County.

Police reported they found the fleeing suspect in a nearby home, near a shed, without incident.

Police said they were also looking for a gun that may have been discarded by the suspect as he ran.
