Cleveland State's Person, Hicks Receive Showcase Invite

  • Wednesday, May 22, 2019

Two Cougar Men's Basketball players have received an invite to the All-American JUCO Showcase in Atlanta, Ga. on July 12-14.

Both Demonte Person and Jaquez Hicks, both rising sophomores, were invited to the exclusive tournament for sophomores, which only invites 160 players from across the country and 80 from the East Region.

They will compete for hundreds of four-year college coaches and NBA scouts in attendance and the event will also be nationally televised.

Person led the team in assists with 4.0 last season and Hicks was second on the team with 19 total blocks on the year. Both will return to Cleveland State in the winter for their sophomore seasons as the Cougar look to build on their 2019 TCCAA Title and National Tournament win in 2019.
