Eston Hammontree, 85, of East Ridge passed away on June 22, 2019.

He was of the Church of God of Prophecy faith and had attended East Chattanooga Church of God of Prophecy. He graduated from Kirkman High School. Eston was a barber for 60 plus years. He owned and operated Center Barber Shop in East Ridge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Charles and Ruby Lee Hammontree.

Left behind to cherish Eston’s life are Johnnie Hammontree, daughter, Anna (Jay) Lewis, son, Deon (Patty) Hammontree, son, Michael “Bo” (Tiffany) Hammontree, grandchildren, Dran Lewis, Gabriel Lewis, Olivia Hammontree, Isabella Lewis, Elaina Hammontree, Michaela Hammontree, Caleb Hammontree, and Jackson Hammontree, and his special friend and caregiver, Faye Wilson.

A Celebration of Eston’s Life will be held in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Sunday June 30, 2019 at 5 p.m. with Pastor Gene Butler officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 2 p.m. until service time.

Arrangements are under the care of Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist East Chapel, 404 South Moore Rd. East Ridge, TN 37412.
