The Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department fought a fire on a 50-foot boat on Thursday afternoon.

At 12:45 p.m., a homeowner called 911 reporting a Mamba boat was on fire.  Highway 58 VFD personnel arrived on the scene reporting a large boat fire adjacent to the home at 6001 Friddell Road in Harrison.

Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the fire due to the boat containing 40 gallons of fuel.

No injuries were reported, but Hamilton County EMS was on the scene for any potential injuries.

Highway 58 VFD fire officials reported the fire was accidental and appears to have started in the electrical harness area.

The $100,000 boat is a total loss.
