A person was killed in a single-vehicle accident Monday afternoon on Middle Valley Road.
The preliminary investigation shows that at approximately 2 p.m., the driver of a pickup truck was going north on Middle Valley Road in a curve when the truck went off the roadway, down an embankment into a wooded area, it rolled, and eventually the driver was ejected.
The driver was transported to a local medical center where they were pronounced deceased. The driver was the only person in the vehicle.
The name of the driver is not being released at this time pending notification of next of kin.
