Wilma Sue Jennings Pate, age 81, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Sunday evening, January 5, 2020 at Hamilton Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Sept. 11, 1938 in Texas, a daughter of the late Luna and Effie Mae Hood Jennings. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Robert, James and Odell Jennings; and sisters, Lucille Favors and Etta Mae Jennings.
She was a member of Grove Level Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Mark and Roxanne Pate of Chatsworth, Ga., John Pate of Cohutta, Ga.; daughters and son-in-law, Judy Houck of Cohutta, Ga., Debra and Lonnie Oates of Dalton, Ga.; brother, Tom Jennings of Mt. Pleasant, Tn.; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Wilma Sue Jennings Pate will be held Friday, Jan. 10, at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Neal Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg, Tn.
The family will receive friends at Neal Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9.
She will be laid to rest at the Ethridge Cemetery in Ethridge, Tn.
