Dalton State (Ga.) swept the SSAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week awards, with Ava Van Doren being named SSAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and Brooke Alvarez being named SSAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
The awards are based on performance for the week of Oct. 19-25.
Ava Van Doren (Dalton State – FR – FWD – New Port Richy, Fla.)
- This is her first-career honor
- Van Doren collected her first-career hat trick in a 7-1 win over Johnson University
- She opened the scoring with a goal in the fourth minute
Brooke Alvarez (Dalton State – FR – GK – Rocky Face, Ga.)
- This is her first-career honor
- Alvarez made seven saves and allowed only one goal in 90 minutes to pick up the win
