The Chattanooga Lookouts dropped Saturday evening's game to the Birmingham Barons by a score of 7-0. Four Birmingham pitchers combined to allow only two hits by Chattanooga.
Lookouts starter Kevin Abel took the tough luck loss with one of his best starts of the season. Abel went seven strong innings, allowing only one earned run on four hits with four strikeouts. He moves to 2-6 on the season.
Chattanooga hitters struck out ten times and Edwin Arroyo's double was the only extra base hit.
The two teams conclude the series Sunday afternoon at 2:15 p.m. With a win Chattanooga could move into first place in the season's second half standings. The Lookouts are now 42-34 overall.
