Marketing Firm 8Bend Among 14 Agencies In The U.S. To Receive StoryBrand Agency Certification

Tuesday, May 26, 2020

8Bend Marketing, a marketing agency founded in 2019 in Chattanooga, recently achieved StoryBrand Agency certification, becoming one of fewer than 20 firms across the United States to attain that level of recognition and training.

StoryBrand, a marketing company founded by bestselling author Donald Miller, uses a 7-Part Story Framework to help clients clarify their message.

Certified StoryBrand Agencies like 8Bend Marketing have been trained and certified to use the StoryBrand tools to help their customers create marketing that will grow their business.

“Marketing professionals are typically under-utilized, under-appreciated, and underpaid because the small businesses they work for don’t understand how to best use their creative talent — and we want to change that,” said Josh Davis, partner and principal marketing consultant at 8 Bend. “Our goal at 8Bend Marketing is to allow businesses to access a complete team of highly-trained creative professionals for less than it costs to hire a full-time employee with only a few of those skills.

Mr. Davis brings more than 15 years of leadership in marketing, and he’s eager to help clients change the way they view their own marketing.

“Many clients are focused on a particular project like a website,” Mr. Davis said. “My goal is to educate clients that marketing is more than redesigning your website. I share knowledge I’ve gained in marketing leadership and help clients understand what it takes to do marketing the right way.”

As a certified StoryBrand Agency, 8Bend recommends that clients go through the StoryBrand workshop or utilize the Business Made Simple University classes online. 8Bend is structured to offer services in a way that best fits each clients’ needs: to create sales funnels that help grow revenue, to launch nurture marketing that helps with brand awareness, and as a consultant for strategic planning and training.

“I believe in small businesses in our community and I want to help them improve their marketing strategies and messaging,” Mr. Davis said. “Supporting small and medium businesses in our region is good for Chattanooga and will lead to overall growth here. I’ve invested in StoryBrand because small businesses deserve more for the money they spend on marketing.”
