Republican Senate candidate and conservative outsider Dr. Manny Sethi’s campaign announced that General Burwell B. Bell III (Ret.) is endorsing Dr. Manny and joining as a chair of Veterans for Dr. Manny, a group of hundreds of veterans from across Tennessee’s Three Grand Divisions and all of our military branches.

A native of Oak Ridge, General B.B. Bell III, a retired four-star general, served in the U.S. Army from 1969-2008. He has served in positions around the globe, including commanding Fort Knox, forces in Germany, and in the Korean Peninsula. Through his career, he has earned numerous distinctions including a Bronze Star. General Bell and his wife, Katie, reside in Chattanooga.

"Dr. Manny Sethi is the right candidate with the right policy and program perspectives to represent us in Washington,” said General Bell. “I strongly and wholeheartedly endorse him for election as U.S. senator from the Great Volunteer State of Tennessee."

"I am honored to have the endorsement of General Bell, and to have him join my team as a chair of Veterans for Dr. Manny,” said Dr. Manny. “General Bell has dedicated his life to serve our country, and I am grateful for his support.”

Additional chairs of this coalition are General (Ret.) Gary Harrell, United States Army; Major General (Ret.) Carl Schneider, United States Air Force; and Major General (Ret.) Jackie Dan Wood, United States Army.

Veterans for Dr. Manny represents those with military experience in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, Operation Gothic Serpent in Somalia, Operation Desert Storm, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Members also bring a broad cross-section of civilian experience in business, healthcare, education, and government.

Dr. Manny said he is committed to fighting for the following:

Fixing the broken Veterans Affairs system, and ensuring that veterans are able to obtain healthcare without fighting through bureaucracy.
