Margaret C. Culpepper, 89, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, July 30, 2020.

She was the daughter of the late Caswell Logan Cofer and Addie Exie Massingill Cofer and was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Culpepper, and seven siblings, Willie Austin Cofer, Elsie Louise Cofer Reeves, Alpha Odell Cofer Parker, Mary Evelyn Cofer Noblitt, Edith Beatrice Cofer Webster, Lillian Franklin Cofer Galyon and Benjamin Luther Robert Cofer.

Margaret was a graduate of Central High School and was a former employee with Bell Telephone, Olan Mills, Walmart and Hamrick’s. She also worked as a volunteer at Hutcheson Medical Center in Fort Oglethorpe. She was a caregiver to many of her family.

She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

A private graveside service will be held at Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the charity of one’s choice.
