Thanks From Assessor Marty Haynes

  • Friday, August 14, 2020

Thank you to the voters and citizens for the opportunity to serve as your Assessor of Property for another four years. It is my honor to have served as Assessor since 2016. As an unopposed candidate, it is both humbling and gratifying for voters to take time to vote for you. I am thankful to the 45,061 citizens who took time to cast a vote for me.

Thanks also to my staff and employees for their dedication. Their professionalism and hard work has allowed my office to implement new software and extend office hours.

Since my primary win in March, we have implemented more software upgrades that will be meaningful to the public. Later this calendar year, we will announce online filing for Personal Property reports. This will make my office more efficient in working with the business community. Also, in January we will unveil to the public a new link on our website that allows property owners to compare the value of their home to recent home sales in their neighborhood or community. This will increase our transparency and accountability with the public.

Thanks again for the opportunity to serve the citizens of Hamilton County. It is indeed an honor and a privilege. I am a blessed man.

Marty Haynes
