Terry Reynolds
Terry David Reynolds, 66, stepped into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, September 26, 2020, from complications of COVID-19.
He was born on March 15, 1954, to the late David and Willene Reynolds. He attended Barger Elementary, Brainerd Jr., Brainerd High, and Tennessee Temple. He won multiple art awards. He was a Certified Planner and worked most of his adult life for engineering and architectural firms. He was steadily employed since the time that he was a teenager. He was currently employed by Ragan Smith Associates. He was a past president with the Chattanooga Engineers Club, was a board member of the Sequoyah Birth Place Society, and the Chattanooga Historical Society.
Terry is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Nancy Cole Reynolds, adored children, Ezra (Kelly) Reynolds, Timothy (Lily) Reynolds, Meg (Brian) Scoggins, John (Carolyn) Reynolds, Gabriel (Becky) Reynolds, and Helen (Joshua) Smith. He enjoyed being “Grandpa” to eight grandchildren – Katie, Elena, Juliana, Andrew, Chessa, and Isaiah Reynolds, Peyton Stinson, and Ellie Smith.
He is also survived by his siblings, Rick (Kim) Reynolds, Roddy (Julie) Reynolds, and Margie (David) Gardner and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Amy Long, and Drew and Nora Wofford.
He was active at Hixson Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be given to the Building Fund of Hixson Presbyterian Church, 1450 Jackson Mill Drive, Hixson TN 37343.
Services will be held at Hixson Presbyterian Church on Saturday, Oct. 3, at 12 p.m., with visitation held two hours prior to the service. Social distancing and masks will be required.
Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
