A Mother's Day Celebration

  • Saturday, May 10, 2025

My Mothers favorite verse from the Bible was Psalms 118:24. She lived her life everyday to this verse.

So as we celebrate Moms today, I wrote this in remembrance of mine.

You need to pay attention, and listen to me
Whether you're sad or your hearts full of glee
Good day or bad day, thats up to you
Your mind is in control of all that you do
Sometimes things don't go as we bade
But this is the day that The Lord has made

From the puffy white clouds in the blue sky
To the cool summer rain, that makes you sigh
The sticky white snow, perfect for snowmen
The crisp winter mornings, when you want to go  to bed again
The beauty of these days will not fade
For this is the day, The Lord has made

The wonderful beaches, along the coastline
The majestic mountains covered with pines
The rambling rivers, the trickling streams
The wonder of this land is all that it seems
The verdant green meadows, the sun dappled glade
For this is the day, The Lord has made

So it's all up to you, how your life goes
There's a couple of things before I go
The Lord has blessed man with this bountiful place
He watches over us daily with his loving grace
So always rest easy, don't be afraid
For this is the day, The Lord has made.
