David Buckner

David "Buck" Buckner, 56, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021.

From attending games, collecting baseball cards and Braves memorabilia, he was an avid Braves fan.  He was a hard worker, always providing for both of his kids.  He was known to wear shorts and short sleeves in the middle of winter. "Buck" loved playing softball, and coached both of his kids teams.  David had the biggest heart and was loved by everyone he met and knew.  He was always there for his loved ones, helping anyone he could.  "Pops" enjoyed spending time with his family.  He could calm the fussiest of babies.  His hugs were the best.  His dad jokes were dry and plentiful.  He wanted to make you laugh.  David was a devout Christian.  He loved talking to the Lord.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

The family will announce a memorial service at a later date.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Linda Buckner.

He is survived by his son, Nicholas (Rebecca) Buckner; daughter, Violet Fawnna (Craig) Mizell; sister, Gayle (Mike) Gossett, and granddaughter, Natalee.

Arrangements are by Turner Funeral Home.
