Mocs' Basketball Sets Blue And Gold Scrimmage For October 21st

Basketball is back in The Roundhouse. The Chattanooga Mocs men’s basketball team is set to host a “Blue & Gold” scrimmage this Thursday, October 21 at 7:00 p.m. where admission is FREE and promotions are plenty. 

 

Everything you need to know including admission and parking details, game format and everything else in between for Thursday’s fun-filled event can be found below.  

 

ADMISSION & PARKING 

Doors open at 6:00 p.m.

and admission is FREE for all fans. All seating is general admission. Fans may park in nearby McKenzie Arena parking lots for FREE at a first-come, first-serve basis. The first 100 students will receive FREE food, courtesy of Jack’s. 

 

MCKENZIE ARENA INFORMATION  

While social distancing is not required, ALL FANS MUST WEAR A MASK while inside McKenzie Arena unless actively eating or drinking. McKenzie Arena will have two concession stands open for food and beverage in addition to hosting a pop-up UTC Bookstore shop (located inside stand 205). 

 

GAME FORMAT 

The game will feature two, 12-minute halves with two media timeouts per half and a 3-5-minute halftime. The game will end in Elam-style fashion. Unfamiliar with an Elam finish? Learn more HERE. The team will be individually introduced before splitting off into two separate squads. 

 

PROMOTIONS 

The scrimmage will feature numerous in-game and on-court promotions. The Chattanooga Mocs women’s basketball team will be interacting with fans and participating in such contests throughout the event. In addition, the men’s team will be out and about on campus Thursday morning handing out FREE Krispy Kreme donuts to students at Chamberlain Field. 

 

One lucky student will have the chance to win Papa John’s pizza for a year. Students can enter their chance to play before the game and wait for a random selection at halftime. The student will have five chances to make a half-court shot and will have to beat a men’s basketball student-athlete to win.  

 

SEASON TICKET SPECIAL 

Fans who purchase/pick up season tickets at the Blue & Gold Scrimmage will receive a Chattanooga tumbler! 2021-22 season tickets are available for purchase starting at under $100 for lower level seating.
