Cathryn Elaine "Penny" Whitener Cummings
Cathryn Elaine "Penny" Whitener Cummings, age 66, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021.
She was born Feb. 21, 1955 to the late Rufus Whitener, Sr. and Lucille Wofford Whitener. She was preceded by her siblings, Maxine Binns, Ruth Ann Ware, Mary Helen King, Robert Whitener, Tommy Whitener, Larry Whitener, and LaWanda Williams.
She graduated from Dalton High School Class of 1973 and was a faithful member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors are her loving and devoted niece, Shelva Salvage; a host of other loving nieces, nephews, cousins; special friends, Reggie Dave and DeeAnna Sprowl; and other relatives and friends.
The Homegoing Service will be Saturday, Nov. 13, at noon at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 2014 Martin L. King, Jr. Blvd., Dalton, GA 30721 with Pastor Edward Hoggs as eulogist.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday after 11 a.m.
Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery.
