The Soddy Daisy Trojans high school lacrosse team hit the road for a crucial division win over the Page Patriots (3-4) by a score of 10-7. With the victory, the Trojans (6-4) have now won six out of their last seven games; five within the past nine days.
After falling behind early in the first quarter, Soddy Daisy clawed back to a 5-5 tie at halftime. The Trojans' staunch zone defense, led by senior defenseman Levi Stapleton (5 groundballs), held the high powered Patriots offense to only two goals in the second half. Sophomore goalie Jameson Koch tallied eight saves, including four in the 4th quarter, for his 5th win of the season.
Soddy Daisy's 10 goals scored were spread out amongst six players. Junior Kennedy Moore led the team with three goals and 11 groundballs. Attackmen Hunter Goode and Paul Schofield scored two goals apiece. Deegan Workman, Collin Hart, and Donovan Sullivan also scored. Junior midfielder Sam Schofield had three assists and five groundballs for the victors. Senior Hayden Harmon led Page with three goals in the loss.
The Trojans next game will be Wednesday, March 31, 7pm at Hixson Youth Athletic Association lacrosse field.
