Worked For Lawson Electric Company And Was Avid Sports Fan

Michael Edward Cylke, 31, died April 19, 2021 as the result of a tragic accident. 

Born on Aug. 26, 1989, he was the son of Shari Cylke, of Ooltewah.  A 2007 graduate of Central High School, he was a member of the bowling team. Michael was also a graduate of the IBEW Journeyman Electricians Apprentice School and was employed by Lawson Electric Company of Chattanooga. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his grandmother, Charlotte Cylke, of Ellijay, Ga. and his uncle, Craig Cylke, also of Elllijay.

Michael is survived by his mother, Shari Cylke; brothers, Taylor and Andy Miller; grandparents, Ed and Sara Cylke and Tommy and Shirley Miller; and his girlfriend, Simone Harris. 

Visitation will be Thursday, April 22, at 11 a.m. at Bernhardt Funeral Home in Ellijay, with service to follow at Ellijay Seventh-day Adventist Church. Burial services will be private.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, April 24, at noon in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make charitable contributions to a favorite charity in Michael’s name.
