Lorene Felton
God called and another angel, Lorene Felton answered His call. Lorene Felton departed this life on April 21, 2021.
She was born on Jan. 6, 1927, in Montezuma, Ga., to the late Oscar and Rosa Lee Felton. Lorene made Chattanooga her home in her teenage years and accepted Christ as her Savior and united with Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where she faithfully attended and served for many years until her health failed. She was recognized as a mother of her church in 2014 and recognized for 40+ years of faithful service in 2015. Lorene graduated from Howard High School in 1946. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and retired in 1984 from Erlanger after serving almost 18 years.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Rosa Mae Gillom and brother-in-law, Robert Gillom Sr.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories a loving and devoted daughter, Rosanna Clark of Chattanooga; a loving a devoted grandson, Johnathan (Jamie) Clark; great-grandson Isaiah Clark; great-granddaughter Emery Rose Clark; all of Chandler, Arizona; devoted nieces Betty Hawkins, Lena Ramsey, and Thelma Gillom; devoted nephews Robert Gillom, Jr. and Edward Gillom; all of Chattanooga; a host of great-nephews, great-nieces; cousins; other friends and church family.
Graveside services will be on Monday, April 26, at Lakewood Memory Gardens East with Pastor Anthony Williams as the eulogist.
