Retired From Parkridge Medical Center After Many Years

Emma Ruth Cooper, 86, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, June 7, 2021, at her residence.

 

She was employed by Parkridge Medical Center and retired after many years of service. Emma was a faithful member of East Third Street Church of Christ. 

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Jamie Sue Easley; son, Larry Jackson; and great-grandson, Jeffery Jackson. 

 

Survivors include her son, James Porter, Jr. of Chattanooga; daughters, Hardie Ruth Manns of Thompson’s Station, TN, Jamie (James) Shropshire, Detra Jackson, both of Chattanooga, and Brenda Jackson of Marietta, GA; 20 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; dear close cousins, Pennie Fay McCutchins and Aileen Christopher; other relatives and friends. 

 

Funeral services will be on Friday, June 18, at 9:30 a.m. in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Brother John R. Taylor, Sr. as the eulogist. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
