The National Independent Soccer Association announced its September Performers of the Month awards on Wednesday.  These awards are determined by a select set of NISA front office staff.

Chattanooga FC's Markus Naglestad was named Player of the Month.  Naglestad returned to his early-season form in September. He led the league with five goals in September bringing his season total to 18 – tops in the league. Naglestad’s exploits also helped propel his club to a 4-2-0 mark in the month.

The NISA also awarded head coach Rod Underwood as Coach of the Month. Having gone without a win since August 6, the club turned it around in September winning four and tying two. This included a 2-1 result against ALBION San Diego on Sept. 28 to clinch a first-round bye and home match in the semi-finals.
