Edith “Irene” Lynn Lindsey went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 28, 2022. She was born on August 17, 1931.

She always made sure that we always felt loved, from her kids, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and to anyone with whom she came in contact.

She was all about family. From wanting to have everyone come to Sunday lunch, celebrating everyone’s birthday at her house, throwing all the holiday get togethers at her house. These are the things that made her happy. Even the smallest things brought her joy. She lived 91 years and experienced so much in her lifetime. She lived through the depression using gas and food rations with seven sisters and four brothers.

She retired from American Saddlery at the age of 81. She loved gardening, ceramics, and baking.

She was a faithful member of Tremont Baptist Church for 57 years. She taught children’s Sunday School for around 20 years. She will be missed by everyone that knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clinton and Beulah Lynn; sisters: Dola French, Dorothy Roelse, Carolyn Hayes, Jane Allison, Grace Branum; brothers, Gene Lynn, Bill Lynn, Clinton Dwight Lynn.

Survivors include her son, Steve (Patti) Lindsey, and daughter, Susan Rogers; grandchildren: Mindy White, Casey (Greg) Plemons, Robert (Teresa) Rogers, Michael (Amy) Lindsey. Stephanie (Derek) Skelton; great-grandchildren: Ryan Farmer, Meghan White, Patrick (Bella) Plemons, Lindsey (Josh) Jenkins, Beau Lindsey, Julia Lindsey, Elissa Rogers, Kailey (Danny) Starry, James Skelton, Samantha Todd, Madison Todd; great-grandchildren: Eli Starry, Daniel Starry II; sisters: Judy Franks, Linda Lynn and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2, at Lane Funeral Home, with services to follow at 2:00 pm in the Coulter Chapel. Interment will be private.
