Mary Jane Revels, 70, of Rossville, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022.

 

Mary was born in Trenton, Ga., and spent most all of her life in the Chattanooga area. She graduated from Peabody High School and attended Chattanooga State College where she studied Business Administration. Mary was the owner and operator of PCI for almost 15 years and was the owner and operator of Chattanooga Coin Inc. with her husband, Lewis. She loved to travel, especially to the beach, work on her house, read, cook, and shop. Mary particularly enjoyed doing anything with her family from watching movies to hosting holiday events. She was always willing to be involved. Mary was of the Christian faith, outgoing, funny without meaning to be, very generous, fiercely loyal, nurturing, empathetic, and protective of her family. She is dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

 

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Revels, Jr.; parents, Mertaugh “Mutt” Cantrell and Ida Evelyn and Emmett Price.

 

Survivors include her four daughters: Melanie Fillers Acree (Scottie Hightower), Amy Fillers Adams, Haley Fillers (Charles) Hendricks, and Fawn Melissa Revels; grandchildren: Julia (Ryan) Long, Meggan Acree (Nathan), Tyler Adams, Jace Acree, Zachary Adams, Charley Jane Hendricks, Preston Hendricks, and Vivian Hendricks; great grandchildren, Layla Jane Cornwall and Walker Long; step-son, Lee Allen Revels; siblings: Richard Cantrell, Jack (Louise) Cantrell, Gary (Susan) Cantrell, David Price, and Emily (Chris) Wiltse; several nieces and nephews; a host of friends; and beloved dog, Louie.

 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 21, at 1 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Tommy Youngblood officiating. Entombment will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
