Sam Gooden Of The Impressions Dies At His Chattanooga Home

Sam Gooden, who was one of the original members of the Impressions, including Curtis Mayfield, has died at his home in Chattanooga.

He was 87.

He was born Sept. 2, 1934.

The Impressions were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Fred Cash, another original member of the Impressions, is also from Chattanooga.

Survivors and arrangements will be announced at a later date by Willis Funeral Home, Inc.
