Turman Collects Win #6 At North Georgia Speedway In Rain Shortened Event Saturday

Casey Turman (#18) of Lafayette took Saturday night's rain shortened Super Late Model feature at North Georgia Speedway in Dalton/Chatsworth. Turman collected win number six on his season piloting is number 18 "Turman Builders & Supply, Chattanooga Valley Auto Parts, Hobbs Pallet Company, Hopes and Dreams Performance, Confederate Garage, QBR Motorsports, SFP Performance Systems, Martel Sign Company, Dodd Bros Wrecker Service, Extreme ATV Repair, Performance Race Engines, Trees Cut Free, Renegade Race Fuels" sponsored CVR race car.

Rain shut down most area race tracks Saturday with the exception of Mountain View Raceway's track in Dayton/Spring City. Track officials forged ahead despite a lengthy rain delay that caused a hold on action until the morning hours of Sunday.

Johnny Hughes of Graysville, Tn. was victorious in the $1,000 Thunder Division "Paul Murphy Memorial". In Late Model action Knoxville's Cody Courtney was the winner.

Next weekend, Aug. 13, the North Georgia Speedway hosts their biggest race of the year, a $5,000 to win, 602 Sportsman division feature race.
