Paul Stewart, DO, says the most rewarding part of his job is when his patients comes back with a smile, tell him that they are feeling better and that they are glad that he treated them.

“When I began my cardiology rotation during my residency, I fell in love with it,” he said. “I liked meeting the patients. I enjoyed looking at the imaging and coming up with treatment plans.”

Dr. Stewart recently joined Hamilton Physician Group – Cardiology in Dalton and Hamilton Health – Battlefield in Ringgold.
As a non-invasive cardiologist, Dr. Stewart provides treatment, diagnosis and preventive care for patients dealing with a wide range of heart health and vascular issues.

A graduate of the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, he completed both his internal medicine residency and fellowship in cardiology at Plaza Medical Center in Fort Worth, Tx.

In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, building computers and gaming. When it comes to adventure, Dr. Stewart prefers the “staycation” to most traveling.

He says he continues to love cardiology – both the technical aspects of the job and the satisfaction of helping others.
