Middle Tennessee Christian School won the first game/match up of the year back on November 14th by a score of 55-46 but in round two on Saturday Baylor had to overcome a halftime deficit of 29-23 with a big third quarter scoring outburst of 14 points to gain the win, 48-45. The fourth quarter went back and forth with Baylor's last stand forcing a turnover to win the game after Riley Oleksik's big shot from the wing.
Scoring leaders for Baylor were Oleksik with 22, Holly Merritt had 14 and Sloane Watson with 6 points.
Next up for Baylor is Webb School of Knoxville Tuesday the 16th in Duke Arena with a 5:00 p.m.
