Good Old Days Museum Presents Old Timey Christmas With Santa Dec. 14

  • Friday, December 13, 2024
The Good Old Days Museum will be open this Saturday for visits with Santa.

"Elves tell us he arrives at 10 a.m.  Santa is ready to greet you and we've set up a giant tree for all to enjoy and for selfies with your kids, pets or bestie.  So come on by and see us for this special day," officials said.

Admission for kids is free for this event.  A donation for adults is suggested.

Saturday is the last day the museum is open for the 2024 season.

The SDMHA Members Reception follows from 2-4 p.m.
Everyone is welcome; all members are asked to come and bring a friend.

"And please come by if you are thinking about becoming a member, we'd love to meet you," officials said.

Light refreshments will be provided.

"The Good Old Days Museum is your place for gifts - we focus on local history and have caps, books and a tote honoring our Cherokee heritage. We even have Moonpies and Cokes at the General Store.  All donations for these goods support the SDMHA mission. Ask us about our memorial program and the plaques honoring our citizens, families and donors, which would also make a nice gift - we can provide a certificate.

"For a $20 donation, you may choose from a tote or cap that highlights our local history. Donations range from $25-$40 for books."

The Good Old Days Museum is located at the corner of Wall Street and Depot Street at 11298 Wall St. in Soddy-Daisy.

"We ask for a donation of $5 for adults to tour the museum and we offer special rates for student to tour the museum.  Remember, members are free.  If you have any questions call 423-718-0528."
