Weathers, Weldon First Day Leaders At Nob North Invitational

Andrew Weathers fired a 4-under 68 to take the first-round lead of the Championship Flight of the Nob North Invitational on Saturday.

The former McCallie School and University of Tennessee at Chattanooga golfer who is reigning Chattanooga TPC champion leads by one shot over a pair of golfers headed into Sunday’s final round.

Dalton Sutton and Gavin Clutts both posted 3-under 69s to sit tied for second, while four others – David Noll, Keoni Vidrine, Toby Geren and Ty Pendley – are tied for fourth after opening rounds of 2-under 70.

In the Senior division, Shonn Weldon holds a one-shot lead over Brent Henley after opening with a 4-under 68. Jay Potter and Mike Nance are tied for third after shooting 1-under 71.

Jim Lett and Richard Brame posted rounds of 1-under 71 to lead the Super Senior flight.
