Susan G. Russell
Susan G. Russell, 85, passed away March 14, 2024, in a local health care facility in Chattanooga Tennessee.
She was born on Sept. 19, 1938, to Zianetta Patrick and Collins Gaston in Camden, Al.
Susan retired from Parkridge Medical Center. She was a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church, and a former member of Orchard Knob Baptist Church.
While at Second Baptist she served in the Missionary Society. Susan loved hats, angels, her family and her church family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Russell; both her parents; three brothers, Richard Anthony, Robert Lee, and William Gaston; four sisters, Annie Goodwin, Ruby Crear, Lillie Gaston Mooney, and Georgia Mae Christian.
She leaves to cherish precious memories, two brothers-in-law, Charlie Russell and Anderson Russell; three sisters-in-law Lola Ford, Dorothy Russell, and Mary Gaston; special nephew, Frederick (Deandra) Richardson, LaDonna (Frank), April (Quinton), Polly Murray, Louise Gaston, William Mooney, and Janie (Waymon) Bonham; host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 4, starting at 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
An 11 a.m. funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 4, at Second Missionary Baptist Church, 2305 East 3rd Street.
Interment will follow at Beautiful Greenwood Cemetery.
