Terry Ruth Chase
Terry Ruth Chase, 90, of Hixson, passed away peacefully at a local hospital, on Thursday, May 16, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Terry was born on Aug. 22, 1933, to Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Harper in Grove Oak, Al. Terry was a devoted woman of faith and a longtime member of Hixson United Methodist Church. She was a very skilled bowler and bowled in several leagues at Holiday Bowl Hixson over the years. She was a huge Atlanta Braves fan and was also a big University of Tennessee fan.
Terry’s late husband, Chadwick Chase, served in the U.S. Navy for 25 years. Terry got to travel the United States and see several foreign countries prior to her husband’s retirement in 1972.
Over the years, Terry worked at several businesses including Pro Group, the former Arnold Palmer Golf Co. and at TVA at Sequoyah in the parts room.
In addition to her parents and her three siblings, Terry was preceded in death by her husband, Chadwick Chase.
She is survived by her son, Ken Chase of Hixson; grandchildren, Brian (Julie) Chase of Hixson and Allison Chase of Hixson; great-grandchildren, Makensey and Maggie Chase of Hixson; and several extended family members.
Visitation will be held at Hamilton Funeral Home, 4506 Hixson Pike, on Friday, June 14, at 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Private burial will be held a Chattanooga National Cemetery.
