TVFCU Breaks Ground In Dalton And On Lee Highway

  • Wednesday, June 12, 2024

Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union successfully broke ground on its first branch in Dalton at 914 Vista Dr. This new branch represents a milestone in TVFCU's expansion and commitment to providing accessible, innovative financial services to the community, said officials.

In addition to the Dalton branch, TVFCU has also broken ground with Food City for a future TVFCU branch inside the new Food City location on Lee Highway. The 56,000-square-foot store will sit on what is now a 6.5-acre wooded lot next to the Tennessee Baptist Children's Home just past Highway 153. Todd Fortner, president and CEO of TVFCU, said the new store will hold its seventh Food City branch.

Set to open in 2025, the Dalton branch will be housed in a state-of-the-art 14,000 square foot facility. The first floor will serve as a full-service location, complete with Interactive Teller Machines and Stream Stations for a modern and streamlined banking experience. The second floor will host regional operations staff to support TVFCU’s growing membership in Northwest Georgia. In a move towards embracing cutting-edge technology, the branch will feature a freestanding drive-through that operates Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m.-7 p.m., catering to the needs of all members.

Construction Consultants has taken the helm as the general contractors for this project. River Street Architects has brought innovation to the forefront, utilizing AI-assisted tools for the design work on the building's exterior, which will feature accent panels 3-D printed by Branch Technology in Chattanooga.

"We're thrilled to bring this advanced facility to Dalton and expand our reach with a new branch at Food City," said Mr. Fortner. "Our investment in technology and design reflects our dedication to providing the best financial services for our members, wherever they are."
