Ribbon-Cutting Celebrates Opening Of The Corbettas At Enterprise Disc Golf Course

  • Saturday, August 31, 2024

Enterprise South Nature Park officially opened The Corbettas at Enterprise disc golf course on Saturday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by local officials, community members, and disc golf enthusiasts. The new 18-hole championship course, designed by three-time U.S. champion Will Schusterick, is crafted to challenge players of all skill levels and is set against the park’s natural beauty, providing a unique outdoor experience for residents and visitors alike.

“Enterprise South is a tremendous asset to the Chattanooga community, and The Corbettas is a course that will truly test even the most seasoned disc golfers,” said Will Schusterick. “With its dense woods and demanding long shots, players will need precision and skill to navigate this challenging layout. Disc golf enthusiasts from across the Southeast are sure to flock to Chattanooga to take on this exciting new course.”

“We’ve worked hard to see The Corbettas at Enterprise come to life,” said Allison Harr, superintendent of Enterprise South Nature Park. “This course is a true reflection of our commitment to enhancing outdoor recreation in the community. We believe it will quickly become a beloved destination for both locals and tourists.”

The course, featuring a variety of holes with different degrees of difficulty, is expected to draw players of all skill levels from across the region.

“This project has been a collaborative effort, and we’re proud to offer yet another resource for active outdoor living in Hamilton County,” said Matt Folz, director of the Hamilton County Parks and Recreation Department. “Our goal is to provide diverse recreational opportunities that bring people and families together, and The Corbettas at Enterprise does just that.”

Following Saturday’s ribbon-cutting, the course hosted its first professional-level tournament. The event marks the culmination of months of planning and development, with input from both local players and national disc golf professionals. On Sunday, Sept. 1, the course will be officially open for public enjoyment.
