ArtsBuild And VITA Offer Free Tax Prep Day

ArtsBuild is partnering with the Urban League of Greater Chattanooga to offer a free Tax Prep Day for artists and creative workers. The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program is made up of trained volunteers who will help prepare basic income tax returns.

It will be held Saturday, March 29, from 1-3 p.m. at ArtsBuild, 301 E. 11th St.

Participants should bring a valid photo ID or driver's license; W-2s, 1099s, and other income tax documents for themselves and family members; social security cards for themself, spouse and dependents; bank information; routing and bank numbers for direct deposit; business expenses and mileage; source tax documents: unemployment, 1098-T Education, etc.; last year's tax return; and F1095 Healthcare form.

The VITA program offers free tax help to households with annual income up to $67,000. Click here to register.
