Covenant Tennis Teams Blank LaGrange 7-0

The Covenant tennis teams started conference play Saturday morning on the road at LaGrange. Both the men and the women controlled each match and picked up their second 7-0 win of the week.

Final: Covenant 7, LaGrange 0

In women's doubles, Lauren Carr and Zoe Giuntoli set the tone in the No. 1 position, securing a 6-2 win over Karla Wiley and Olivia Dusterdieck.
In the No. 2 slot, Christina English and Katie Cummings shutout Reese Moat and Bobbi Whitaker 6-0. Estee Verdery and Caroline Tisdale secured the doubles sweep for the Scots as they took down Aireona Williams and Abigail Fuller 6-1.

In singles, Carr had a strong outing, earning a 6-1, 6-0 win in the No. 1 slot against Wiley.
In the No. 2 position, Verdery blanked Moat 6-0, 6-0.
Giuntoli competed in the No. 3 ranked match and conquered Dusterdieck 6-3, 6-0.
In the No. 4 position, Cummings did her job, earning a 6-2, 6-0 win over Fuller.
English earned her second shutout victory of the day, defeating Whitaker 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 5 slot.
Ora Hall competed in the last singles match and delivered a 6-1, 6-0 win over Williams.

Covenant ended its busy week of tennis with a road trip down to LaGrange. The Panthers proved to be no match for the Scots, as Covenant secured a 7-0 win.

In the No. 1 position for men's doubles, Ben Onufrock and Caleb Domowski picked up a 6-2 win over Mike Strydom and James Willingham.
Brock Boehling and Graham Hayes showcased their talents in a 6-1 win against Kyle Moore and Yoni Falla in the No. 2 ranked match.
The Scots wrapped up the doubles sweep as Masen Howard and Gavin Patton defeated Connor Golden and Nic Bodin 6-2. 

Onufrock came through with another win in the No.1 position, defeating Strydom 6-1, 6-0.
Boehling added a No. 2 slot win to his resume, taking down Willingham 6-3, 6-1.
In the No. 3 ranked match, Jackson Orsega got the job done with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Bodin.
Hayes had no problems in the No. 4 slot, securing a 6-1, 6-0 win against Moore.
Gill Dunn also won 6-1, 6-0 as he defeated Jesse Griffin in the No. 5 position. 
Jacob Eldridge took on Jordan Girisgen in the final match and blanked him 6-0, 6-0. 

Covenant hosts Brevard in a nonconference battle on Tuesday.
